Mandy: I don’t know what’s going on, but I like it.

Mandy: I don’t know what’s going on, but I like it.

Nicholas Cage is a weird one isn’t he. Can he act, can’t he act. I don’t think we’ll ever know. But Mandy really goes in his favour.

I wouldn’t even know how to tell you what happens in this film, it’s a mad gore-fest filled with witches, demons, cults and blood. When their new home is ravaged by a local cult Red (Cage) fights back.
That’s all I’ve got.

I’ve never taken drugs, but I think this…

The Haunting of Hill House: Thank You Mike Flanagan

The Haunting of Hill House: Thank You Mike Flanagan

I say thank you, but I say it through gritted teeth.

Thank you for making such an amazing show, so amazing that I can’t watch anything horror without comparing it to Hill House.

Thank you for writing (with the help of Shirley Jackson of course) such a heartbreaking and in-depth story that I now think every TV show is poorly written in comparison.

Thank you for  creating such intense atmosphere,…

It’s been 6 whole years since Wreck-It Ralph first graced the silver screen with Vanellope, I know I can’t believe it either. But they are finally back! And if the trailer is anything to go by it looks like this is set to be another Disney masterpiece with…

The Predator: My Legs?!

The Predator: My Legs?!

I’ve never really gotten Predator, it’s just not scary to me. Like an Xenomorph is scary, but this thing looks like a guy in a suit. It’s obviously a person wearing a costume and now it even has pet dogs, so I don’t know it’s just not scary.
That being said, it’s a pretty fun film.

So The Predator is pretty similar to previous films, the outer-space monster is BIGGER and DEADLY THAN EVER and this…

ALFC: Spooky List 2018

ALFC: Spooky List 2018

IT’S HALLOWEEN.

Halloween is literally my favourite time of the year and has been throughout the 24 years I’ve been living. From being a bada$$ witch in a bin bag in 1998 to dressing as Sam Sylvia from GLOW in 2018, there is no right or wrong way to DO Halloween, and no right or wrong way to get your spooky fill during the Halloween season.
So if you aren’t out trick or treating tonight, or are…

Venom: Andy Samberg, yeah?

Venom: Andy Samberg, yeah?

So my boyfriend does not agree at all, neither to do strangers are shouted at as we left. But I truly believe that Andy Samberg could have played Venom and this would have been the same film.

Venomis the latest addition to the Marvel franchise, sitting in a separate universe to Avengers etc we watch as Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) struggles with his career and falls in to the dangerous path of Carlton…

The Nun: You’re all being pretty harsh.

The Nun: You’re all being pretty harsh.

I read the reviews. I saw the 20% on Rotten Tomatoes. So my high high hopes for another fantastic horror from the Conjuring Universe (brushing past Annabelle) were quickly squished; which I think really worked in the films favour.

The Nun is an origin story about, well, the Nun. Valak has been a staple in The Conjuring universe since 2016 when it first appeared in The Conjuring 2and people have…

ALFC: I Always Read the Book First & Why I hate being ‘That Guy’

ALFC: I Always Read the Book First & Why I hate being ‘That Guy’

I have always read books, losing myself in different stories with different characters with new places to visit- and this still hasn’t changed.

Recently I have started to read Stephen King (I know I can’t believe it’s taken me this long either) and after falling in love with Pet Sematary, declaring it one of my all time favourite books I couldn’t wait to watch the film… But found myself saying…

Unfriended: Dark Web: A Bunch of Nerds.

Unfriended: Dark Web: A Bunch of Nerds.

*spoilers*
If you’re expecting some closure or a deeper look in to the story of Laura Barns, the teen that tragically committed suicide and took revenge from beyond the grave in 2015’s Unfriended then don’t go see the latest addition in the series.
This film does not follow on from the first and the only similarity is that we see the story unfold from someones screen. That being said that doesn’t…

My Friend Dahmer: Don’t Forget, This Guy Was a Serial Killer…

My Friend Dahmer: Don’t Forget, This Guy Was a Serial Killer…

When I watched the trailer I was pretty excited, what I thought would be an interesting look into the early mind of a mass serial killer a dark telling of Jeffrey Dahmers adolescent years turned out to be an almost pity story re-telling of Dahmers time at High School.

Directed by Marc Meyers My Friend Dahmeris set in the 1970’s, the time in which Jeffrey Dahmer was in High School- and follows…
